Rubber Cracker Mill Solution for 30 Mesh Rubber Powder in Colombia

Recently, we provided a rubber processing solution for a customer in Colombia who needed to process a specific type of rubber material into 30 mesh rubber powder. Unlike conventional tire recycling projects, the customer’s raw material was not waste tires, so the processing solution needed to be selected according to the characteristics and size of the rubber material.

After discussing the customer’s requirements, we supplied a small rubber crusher for initial size reduction and an SL-350 Rubber Cracker Mill for further grinding.

Customer Requirement: 30 Mesh Rubber Powder

The Colombian customer planned to process rubber material into fine rubber powder with a target size of approximately 30 mesh.

Since the raw material was not whole waste tires, a complete tire recycling line was not necessary for this application. Instead, we designed a more compact solution consisting of two main machines:

• Small rubber crusher for preliminary crushing
• SL-350 橡胶破碎机 for fine grinding and screening

This combination allows the material to be reduced to a suitable size before entering the rubber cracker mill, making the subsequent grinding process more suitable for producing fine rubber powder.

Small Rubber Crusher for Initial Crushing

The customer was supplied with a small crusher with a capacity of approximately 300 kg/h. The machine uses an 18-knife rotor and 2 fixed knives, with SKD11 tool material for the cutting knives.

The crusher is equipped with a 10–12 mm screen, helping control the size of the crushed rubber before it enters the next processing stage.

The crushed rubber can then be conveyed to the rubber cracker mill for further processing.

SL-350 Rubber Cracker Mill for Fine Grinding

For the fine grinding stage, we supplied an SL-350 rubber powder making machine. The main machine has two rollers, with both the main and auxiliary rollers measuring φ350 × 500 mm.

The main motor power is 30 kW, and the main machine measures approximately 3.7 × 1.75 × 1.6 m, with a weight of about 6.3 tons.

The system also includes a vibrating screen and feeding machine. The vibrating screen is equipped with a 4 kW motor, while the feeding machine uses a 1.5 kW motor. Both are designed for 220 V, 60 Hz, 3-phase electricity, matching the customer’s electrical requirements.

A Compact Solution Based on the Customer’s Material

For this Colombian project, we did not simply recommend a standard tire recycling line. Instead, we considered the customer’s actual raw material and final product requirement.

The processing flow is:

Rubber material → Small Crusher → 橡胶破碎机 → Vibrating Screen → 30 Mesh Rubber Powder

This configuration is suitable for customers who already have a specific rubber raw material and mainly need a solution for producing fine rubber powder.

This Colombia project shows that rubber powder processing equipment can be configured according to the raw material and required powder size, rather than being limited to waste tire recycling.
