Fiber Separator for Tire Recycling
A Fiber separator is a common auxiliary machine used in rubber powder production lines, mainly for separating fine fiber impurities from rubber powder and improving its purity. This equipment is typically used at the final stage of tire recycling processes and plays an important role in ensuring the quality of reclaimed rubber.
Application and Function
During tire crushing and grinding, nylon fibers inside the tires are often broken down and mixed into the rubber powder. If not removed, these fibers can affect the performance of recycled rubber and the quality of downstream products. The fiber separator effectively separates these fibers from the rubber powder, ensuring cleaner material for further processing.
This video shows the application of a fiber separator machine in a tire recycling production line.

Features of Fiber Separator for Tire Recycling
- High separation efficiency: Ensures clean and pure rubber powder.
- Simple structure: Easy to operate and maintain.
- Eco-friendly and energy-saving: Uses dry airflow with no additives required.
- Versatile: Suitable for different sizes and types of rubber powder.
Working Principle of Fiber Separator Machine
In a rubber powder production line, the fiber separator is used to remove nylon fibers and other light impurities from rubber powder. The material is fed through the central inlet, where it first disperses in the middle section of the machine. A fan is installed at the top of the equipment, and the fan blades create an upward airflow while the material is naturally falling, forming a stable air separation zone.
Under the combined effect of airflow and gravity, lighter nylon fibers are drawn upward to the top of the machine, where they disperse and then slowly settle. In contrast, heavier rubber powder falls directly downward. Finally, the central outlet discharges the nylon fibers, while the inclined outlet discharges the cleaned rubber powder, achieving effective separation.
In practical use, the separation efficiency can reach 99% or higher, making it suitable for applications where high rubber powder purity is required.

Weight-Based Separation Performance and Operation Recommendations
The fiber separator operates based on the difference in weight and density between rubber powder and fibers. To ensure stable airflow and consistent separation performance, feeding too much material at one time is not recommended. Continuous and uniform feeding helps improve separation accuracy.
Under proper operating conditions, the fiber removal efficiency can reach 99%, and in ideal situations, it can even approach 100%. Practical applications show that the separator performs best when processing rubber powder with a particle size of 3–4 mm. The finer the rubber powder, the more thorough the fiber removal, making this machine especially suitable for rubber recycling and regeneration lines with high requirements for final product cleanliness.
